retireholics

The Retireholics are a successful 401k industry podcast, YouTube stream, and live on-stage show. One of their goals is to keep re-inventing and staying fresh regarding branding/appearance. Seventy5 Studios was tasked with creating a new look and on-stage set and showing graphics to match. The goal was to represent a more laid-back mood, that could be accessorized easily with on-stage props, could be set up quickly, and broken down even faster. Fostered a sense of beer drinking, and in classed Retireholics fashion be unexpected and fun.

approach

In keeping with the Retireholics’ irreverent and rebellious brand we created an abstract version of a beat-up trailer in the desert. Inspired by ‘Breaking Bad’ vibes, but with an abstract cartoon style. The challenge was to translate the same aesthetic to different mediums including stage backdrops, props, videos, posters, and graphics for social media.

Colors and a graphic style that is visually beautiful, but grungy at the same time

Attention to the actual size of the trailer graphic, to give the feeling of reality

Strategic brand name inclusion with highway sign “Welcome to Retireholics”
